Equipment

Ingredients

  • 200 Gram cottage cheese (paneer), cut into cubes 
  • 24 Nos Crushed black peppercorns for sprinkling 
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 4 Nos cloves
  • 1  inch cinnamon, broken 
  • 2 Nos green cardamoms 
  • ½ tsp finely chopped garlic 
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped 
  • 16 Nos cashewnuts
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) 
  • 1 No bay leaf 
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • ½ tbsp Garam masala powder 
  • 1 tbsp Fresh cream  
  • Salt to taste 
  • Fresh coriander sprig for garnishing

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger and garlic. Cook for about 1/2 min
  • Then add sliced onion and cook till the onions become light golden brown. Once done
    let the onion mixture cool for about.
  • Once the onion comes to room temperature, grind it in the mixer grinder to a smooth paste.
  • In another pan heat ghee and add all dry spices like cloves, cardamom, bay leaves,
    cinnamon stick, and cumin seeds and cook for about 1/2 min and then add the
    onion paste to spices. Cook for about a min.
  • Then add Indian spices like coriander powder, black pepper powder, garam masala and
    salt to taste. Cook for about 2 min or till the gravy is cooked well.
  • Add curd, milk & fresh cream to the mixture and mix well till the incorporate
    with the gravy.
  • You can sprinkle some black pepper to the gravy.
  • Now the gravy is ready. Add paneer to the gravy and mix well the gravy.
  • Paneer Kali Mirch sabzi is ready to serve. Enjoy the delicious kali Mirch panner with
    roti.

  • 16.1 tablespoon fresh cream
